Derek W. Black. The constitutional compromise to guarantee education. 70 Stan. L. Rev. 735-837 (2018). This article begins by noting how far education has come, but also how far education needs to go to combat inequality. The author argues that instead of following case law, we should look to what the Framers intended for the Fourteenth Amendment. Within the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, Congress laid out specific criteria that they expected states to meet, including states rewriting state Constitutions to include a guarantee of education.

This comment analyzes the issue of genetic discrimination within the context of public schools.
