Minority Nurses Making a Difference in Nursing Education and Health Disparities Research Part II

It is indeed an honor and privilege to serve as guest editor for the Association of Black Nursing Faculty (ABNF), Inc Journal. This summer has been a whirlwind, but all moving in a positive direction. One huge part of my summer was attending the ABNF, Inc., 31st Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference in London, England. This was an amazing conference filled with phenomenal and engaging presenters. The research topics were diverse that focused on building healthier communities through education, practice, and research to create health equity. I left the conference uplifted and revived to work in my community and continue my commitment toward eliminating health disparities issues among minorities.

This fall issue presents some of the work of ABNF members who presented at the conference and are passionate about eliminating health disparities in their communities. Several of the writers are proud Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing graduates from Hampton University School of Nursing. We charge you to continue to make a difference toward creating health equity in your communities.
