2019 Hymn Festival Search

Article excerpt

As part of The Hymn Society's ongoing commitment to the enrichment of congregational song, the Executive Committee has announced a search for an outline and script for a hymn festival focused on the theme of welcome towards refugees and immigrants. This search is for an outline and script for a hymn festival. Festival outlines should utilize (but not be restricted to) hymns and songs from Singing Welcome: Hymns and Songs of Hospitality to Refugees and Immigrants (freely available at http://thehymnsociety.org/ resources/singing-welcome/). Further details and instructions for submitting an entry may be found on The Hymn Society website at http://thehymnsociety. org/2019-hymn-festival-search/. Additionally, festival submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:

* Festivals should be a minimum of sixty and a maximum of 120 minutes in length, and be submitted in PDF or Word format. …
