Jurgen Moltmann
Moltmann, Jürgen
Jürgen Moltmann (jûr´gən mōlt´mən), 1926–, German Protestant theologian. Moltmann was professor of systematic theology at Tübingen Univ. (1958–67). A prolific writer, he is best known for his trilogy, Theology of Hope (1964), The Crucified God (1972), and The Church in the Power of the Spirit (1975). He is a prominent spokesperson for the theology of hope.
