Questia, your online research library and paper writing resource, contains thousands of scholarly articles and books about Judaism.

Judaism refers to the religious beliefs, traditions, and practices of the Jews or Jewish people. The term itself is relatively modern, in contrast to the ancient religion. Though Judaism is used to describe a religion, the Jewish people represent an ethnoreligious, and recently a national, group which according to the Hebrew Bible is comprised of descendants of the biblical character Abraham. The open practice of Judaism has come under persecution at several points in history, from the enslavement of Jews in ancient Egypt, to the persecution of Sephardic Jews during the Inquisition, to the annihilation of millions of Jewish people in the Holocaust. The long history of persecution and isolation has led to the creation of a secure, albeit controversial, nation for the Jews.
