Staff Changes

Readers may have noticed some changes on EP's masthead in last month's issue. We are pleased to announce that Fern R. Potvin, our vice president of medical education, has taken on the additional role of managing editor. Among other projects, Fern has spearheaded our acclaimed series on Universal Newborn Screening and has been a driving force behind the educational program at our annual conference, the World Congress on Disabilities.

Fern takes over responsibilities from Bridget Lyne who will continue as a contributing editor and also step into a new role as vice president of organization relationships. Under Bridget's tenure, EP received accolades from Easter Seals, FOLIO: magazine, and the Consumer Health Publisher's Association.

Former Internet Projects Manager Vanessa B. Ira assumes the position of vice president of business development and Internet projects.

EP also welcomes Robert S. D'Angelo aboard as executive vice president/general manager and associate publisher. Rob was formerly publisher of Business & Health and Contemorary Pediatrics, two publications of Medical Economics.

Everyone at EP is excited about these changes and confident that they will serve to enhance the quality of our publication. …
