MEDIA: Viacom Sales House to Give Integrated Service

Viacom has unveiled a multimedia sales house, offering clients integrated marketing and creative solutions across its TV, outdoor and cinema properties.

With the moniker Viacom Plus, the sales house mimics the offering of a full-service advertising agency.

Positioned as a one-stop shop for clients, it combines the resources of its two sales houses - Viacom Outdoor and TV arm Viacom Brand Solutions.

But it will also offer below-the-line marketing and ad creative from its TV production division.

Emap introduced cross-media selling three years ago, and Sky has offered to produce TV ads for small clients, but this is the first time an all-encompassing service has been offered by a media owner.

Marketing packages will be offered to clients encompassing Viacom's TV brands, including MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1 and Paramount Comedy. They will also include outdoor sites on buses and London Underground, and retail sampling and placement opportunities at UCI and Showcase Cinemas and the Blockbuster video rental chain. …
