P&G Rejigs Healthcare after Marketer Leaves

Procter & Gamble is restructuring its healthcare division following the departure of marketing director David Huse to be area sales director for Heinz UK and Ireland.

Huse leaves P&G after a stint spanning almost two decades and a number of roles within the sales and marketing functions. He was most recently marketing director for P&G Healthcare, a role he held at the same time as being sales director on the Boots account and sales director for P&G's Pharmacy sector.

P&G's Healthcare division sits within P&G (Health and Beauty Care) and comprises the Vicks, Pepto-Bismol, Crest and Fixadent brands. Huse was responsible for an advertising budget thought to be around pounds 8m, dedicated mainly to the Vicks brand.

P&G has indicated that it wants to stretch the franchise of its Vicks brand given it is market leader in the Vaporub category.

Huse said he would not be directly replaced in the role of marketing director and added that the brands previously in his charge would be housed under health and beauty care. …
