Scottish Widows Hires Skandia Man as Chief

Scottish Widows, the Lloyds TSB financial services brand, has appointed Skandia Life marketer Peter Jordan as its marketing director, with a brief that includes creating a brand ad campaign.

Jordan will report to managing director of marketing and distribution Nathan Moss. He succeeds Andy Frepp, who moved to the role of director of sales and marketing at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in December last year.

Jordan spent ten years at life assurance and pensions company Skandia Life, where for the past two years he was head of product marketing.

He will be responsible for marketing Scottish Widows to consumers and IFAs, as well as through Lloyds TSB's branch network.

Scottish Widows spends more than pounds 11m on marketing according to Nielsen Media Research. Jordan will liaise with Scottish Widows' agencies including Citigate Albert Frank, which handles its main brand advertising work, and WWAV Rapp Collins Scotland and DraftWorldwide, which manage its below-the-line activity. …
