MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Philadelphia Corp. for Investment Services said that its chief executive officer, A. Louis Denton, had been named the chairman and given up his president's job.

As the chairman he succeeded Ed Borer, who remains a director at the wealth management arm of Chester Valley Bancorp Inc. of Downingtown, Pa.

Matthew D. Kelly has been hired to succeed Mr. Denton as Philadelphia Corp.'s president. He has also been named its chief operating officer and an executive vice president at Chester Valley's First Financial Bank.

Mr. Kelly will oversee the creation a wealth management division through the integration of First Financial's trust and private banking departments with Philadelphia Corp. He was a managing director at PNC Advisors, an investment management business of PNC Financial Services Group Inc.

Rumson-Fair Haven Bank and Trust Co. of Fair Haven, N.J., has hired Robert E. Davis Jr. as its president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Davis was the vice president for Monmouth and Ocean counties at Sun National Bank of Vineland. Before that he had held the same title covering the same region at Summit Bank, which FleetBoston Financial Corp. bought in 2001.

Rumson-Fair Haven has $75 million of assets.

Capital Bank Corp. of Raleigh has hired B. Grant Yarber as its chief lending officer and an executive vice president.

He has also been given the same job and titles at its principal subsidiary, the $900 million-asset Capital Bank. …
