M/s AEG, Germany and AEG Pakistan are joint partners in the project of Nishat Self-Generation, M/s AEG Germany which is a part of Daimler Benz together with its allied companies i.e. Mercedez Benz, Dornier, Deutsche Aerospace represents one of the most dynamic and growing Industrial Groups in Europe today with annual turnover of nearly 80 billion Deutsche marks.

AEG is well-known for over 100 years for their activities in the fields of Electric Power Generation, Distribution, Automation technology and House-hold appliances etc. AEG established the first Thermal Power Plant in Pakistan i.e. Multan 4x64 MW in 1954 and also did pioneer work in the Gas Turbine technology by supplying packaged type Gas Turbines for 200 MW Faisalabad Power Station in 1975. Recently AEG Consortium with another German company is supplying two huge 500 KV Grid Stations at Lahore and Sahiwal which will form the backbone of WAPDA distribution system.

AEG Pakistan was established in 1962 with a manufacturing concern at Karachi and offices in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. The Company is geared towards developing local know-how in the fields of medium voltage, low voltage switchgear. It is a major supplier of switchgear from its Karachi Factory to the Government organisations, like WAPDA, KESC etc. and to the Private Sector. Recently the Company has made big inroads into the Private Sector and is now a major contributor towards electrical engineering solutions of big Industrial Groups. …
