Don't believe the old saw that you can't be out and still be a mover and shaker in Hollywood. These gay and lesbian folks have left the closet behind and are still among the biggest wheels in the biz:

* David Geffen, partner, DreamWorks SKG: Officially dubbed don of the gay mafia by ex-player Mike Ovitz, Geffen is one of the most powerful people in Hollywood, gay or straight.

* Nina Jacobson, president, Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group: She has steered Walt Disney to one of its best-ever years with Pirates of the Caribbean and Freaky Friday. She's also one of Hollywood's proudest gay morns.

* Brian Graden, president of entertainment, MTV and VH1: Graden continues to bring gays and lesbians into the mainstream on his influential youth networks.

* Scott Rudin, producer, head of Scott Rudin Productions: He may have a reputation for volatility, but influential and prolific Rudin (The Stepford Wives, Iris, Sleepy Hollow) has the best taste in the business--and he thanked his boyfriend in his Golden Globe acceptance speech when The Hours won Best Drama.

* Bryan Lourd, partner-agent, Creative Artists Agency: Cited as a gay mafioso who turned against Mike Ovitz, Lourd is doing just fine without his former boss at CAA, with clients like George Clooney and Helen Hunt. …
