Albrecht Durer's the Large Piece of Turf

Do you ever think there is nothing to do? Are you ever bored? Maybe you can enjoy some of the tiny parts of nature that normally go unnoticed. Have you ever sat down on the ground and looked closely at what was just under your feet? Have you ever gotten very close to a clump of weeds and seen their unique beauty? There may even be some little insects living there. Life goes on in these little corners of nature whether we notice it or not. Some artists like to paint the precise details of nature just as it is. This is called naturalism.

Albrecht Durer was an artist from Germany, He lived almost 500 years ago. When he was just a young boy, Albrecht could make pictures that were as good as some adult artist's. Nothing escaped his keen eye. Even things that most people thought were ordinary, became subjects for Durer's artworks.
