Scan C2C and Dialog Information Services, Inc. have announced the addition of the Japan Technology database to the growing family of Dialog OnDisc CD-ROM products. Scheduled release is this month.

"Japan Technology is an 8-year, $12 million development effort, designed from the beginning to help American companies compete effectively with their Japanese counterparts." According to Tom Satoh, Chairman of Scan C2C and creator of Japan Technology, "It provides access to scientific, technological, and business information not readily available to English-speaking business people. Users can obtain competitive intelligence on Japan's R&D, new product developments, business strategies, and market trends."

Japan Technology features informative English-language abstracts of articles published in the leading Japanese scientific, technical and trade journals. It reports on Japanese innovation and excellence in chemistry, computers, electronics, manufacturing and materials. Coverage includes Japanese corporate journals not easily available through traditional sources. The CD-ROM product will contain both retrospective and current data. This historical file dates from 1985-1988 with the current file covering 1989 to the present. …
