Members of ACTE receive much more than just a free subscription to Techniques, and the association continually evaluates its member benefit programs to ensure their effectiveness and value to members.

The following member benefit programs are currently being offered to ACTE members.

* ACTE offers members the opportunity to apply for an ACTE credit card at a special introductory rate through a partnership with MBNA America. MBNA also offers ACTE members special yields on MBNA America Certificate of Deposit and Money Market Deposit Accounts.

* Through a partnership with the Wells Fargo Capital for Knowledge[R] Education Loan Program, ACTE provides affordable education loan packages, which are available to the members, their families and students. These credit-based loan programs can be used for financing education programs from private elementary and secondary schools to public and private postsecondary programs, including consolidation of any education-related debts.

* Professional liability insurance up to $2 million is available to ACTE members through the Forrest T. Jones Insurance Company. It covers a broad range of exposures, such as failure to educate, violation of student civil rights, improper placement of students and sexual harassment. ACTE members also receive a maximum $50,000 policy for common carrier accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
