Why did you get into marketing?

By accident. I was promoting bands in my summer holidays and volunteering in a charity's marketing department. It felt like home.

What is your favourite slogan?

The one that I pinch the most is Ronseal's 'It does exactly what it says on the tin'.

What's your favourite cliche?

It's not where you start, it's where you finish.

Who or what do you hate the most?

Being told I'm too old to be enjoying Disney theme parks.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I'm a vocalist with a six-piece group playing hits from the 60s onward.

What is your favourite song?

I Will by The Beatles, with Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder a close second.

Who do you admire the most?

The inventor of the iPod, Aretha Franklin and my dad.

Which restaurant would you recommend?

Malmaison in Leeds - it's a chill zone.
