I wish to encourage you in your search to accelerate the progress of such research with its great potential to change the course of many diseases that affect the quality of life of people around the world. Indeed, I think that some very practical tracks to enable rapid movement towards clinical trials have recently been uncovered, In part based on key discoveries in stem and progenitor cell research that are occurring at the Indiana Center for Vascular Biology and Medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine.

Briefly, our research has very recently shown that one's own fat is a very rich source of stem/progenitor cells that can help to provide new blood flow to areas of the body with reduced flow; and also have exhibited clear evidence of differentiation along nerve cell lineages. Because fat is a resource that is Immediately available to everyone as an autologous source of cells that will not be rejected by the immune system, the Implications of such findings are very important from therapeutic/scientific, practical, and bioethical perspectives. …
