The founder of motorsport promotions agency KHP Consulting KATJA HELM moved to London from Germany 10 years ago and has since been instrumental in taking the Formula One Grand Prix circus to new locations, including China and Bahrain. She loves her old Sony laptop, but may soon have to part with it for a newer model, one with a card slot to accommodate her wished-for Datacard.


I'm a huge fan of smoothies - I drink them every day - and this is a really stylish way to make one. I have a smoothie recipe book and I'm always trying out new ideas. My favourite is raspberry, lemon and banana.

The secret is to put ice in, too; that way, they aren't too heavy. I also have a Gaggia espresso machine; a cup of good coffee helps to get me up in the mornings.


My phone is the thing I rely on more than anything else - I couldn't do without it. I worry about getting hot ears sometimes, though. This is a quad-band phone; it's supposed to work all over the world, even in places where tri-band phones don't. But I've not had it long, so I didn't get a chance to try it in Shanghai at the Grand Prix. It's got Bluetooth and so has my car - a BMW Z4. I just put the phone on the dashboard and the car's hands-free system hooks up to it automatically. That's the kind of technology I like: simple to use and it works.
