Maxum Systems, Inc. has introduced a new high-end personal computer based on a 486DX2 chip and running at 50 MHz of speed that offers the latest in advanced features in a family of attractive and contemporary cases.

Unlike other PCs, which are pre-configured to manufacturer's specifications, the Maxum 4150DE2 offers a selection of components that can be installed on request. This allows users to select PCs that meet their specific needs.

The Maxum 4150DE2 is available with EISA architecture and can be configured with up to 16 GB of memory on the hard drive. Motherboard memory is expandable to 64 MB of RAM. The PC's modular design permits upgrades to a more powerful chip without motherboard alterations.

The PC is available with a 14- or 71-inch non-interlaced VGA monitor that is positioned on a swivel base, and 3-1/2 and 5-1/4 inch disk drives. Input/output port circuitry and floppy and hard drive controllers can be integrated on the motherboard.

Available ports include parallel, two serial and PS/2 mouse for the addition of printers and other peripherals.

The Maxum 4150DE2's VGA card, which provides for a crisper, cleaner display, allows up to 32,000 colors to be used when running Microsoft Windows or other graphics applications. …
