Article III--Membership

A. Eligibility

Any individual interested in the mission and purposes of the association shall be eligible for membership.

B. Classification of Members

The Association shall consist of four (4) classes of membership:

Individual

Educational Institutions

National Affiliate Organizations

Associate

C. Individual Membership

1. Professional Affiliated Membership ....................... $60.00 -

Individuals actively employed in or concerned with career and technical education.

a. Professional members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously.

Individuals actively employed in or concerned with career and technical education.

a. Professional members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously. (Affiliated Membership is offered to individuals concerned with career and technical education who are from states with unified state associations.

Unified state associations are those which require their members to hold simultaneous membership in ACTE. Annual dues may be submitted directly or through the affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

2. Standard Membership $60.00

(Standard Membership is offered to individuals concerned with career and technical education who are from states with non unified state associations. Non unified state associations are those which do not require simultaneous membership in ACTE. Annual dues may be submitted directly or through an affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

3. Life Membership $1200.00

(Life membership is offered to individuals who qualify as an affiliated, standard or direct member and who invest in a life membership paid directly or through an affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

4. Loyalty Membership $31.00

(Loyalty membership is offered to individuals concerned with career and technical education who have been ACTE members for at least five years and are retired. Annual dues may be submitted directly or through an affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

5. Loyalty Life Membership $180.00

(Loyalty life membership is offered to individuals concerned with career and technical education who have been ACTE members for at least five years and are retired. Annual dues may be submitted directly or through an affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

6. Associate Membership $100.00 (Associate membership is offered to individuals not engaged in career and technical education, whose dues are submitted directly or through on affiliated state association to the ACTE executive director.)

2. Retired Membership $31.00--Individuals who are retired from active employment in career and technical education and have been an ACTE member for at least five (5) years.

3. Life Membership--individuals who, as of January 1, 2006, are life members of the association will be recognized as either professional or retired members with all rights and privileges accorded to that member classification, but with no obligations to pay dues.

47. Student Membership ... $10.00 (Student membership is offered to I individuals who are enrolled as full-time students preparing to become career and technical educators and who are not employed full time in the education system as a teacher, counselor or administrator.)
