Yvette Bright senior vice president of eBusiness and Operations for Independence Blue Cross

YVETTE Bright is the senior vice president of eBusiness and Operations for Independence Blue Cross (IBC), which, along with its affiliates, provides coverage to nearly 3.5 million people across the nation, and is the leading health insurer in Southeastern Pennsylvania. In her new role, Bright will oversee all eBusiness initiatives and operational areas, including claims, enrollment and provider and member services. "As the health care business becomes increasingly complicated, we are fortunate to have someone of Yvette's talent and abilities leading our efforts in these critical business areas," says Joseph A. Frick, president and CEO of IBC. Since joining IBC in 1991, Bright has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities. In 2001, she was handpicked to lead IBC's eBusiness initiatives, an endeavor that led to the company's ability to process more than 2.9 million electronic transactions each month. Prior to arriving at IBC, Bright held several positions in marketing, training and consulting services with IBM in the United States and London. She serves on several boards, including Walnut Street Theatre and Philadelphia Children's Theatre. She and her husband, Robert, reside in West Mount Airy near Philadelphia with their daughter, Taylor, and son, Jason.
