LOCATION: Palos Verdes, CA

BACKGROUND: Originally from Queens, New York, Ornest moved to California at the age of ten. Hearing Guns N' Roses' Appetite For Destruction a few years later convinced him to become a professional guitarist, and he made rapid progress via a practice regimen that often extended to ten hours a day. After graduating high school, he played with Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin, did sessions for producer Wyn Davis, and worked with Don Dokken, Minoru Nihara (Loudness), Jesse Damon (Silent Rage), and others.

Ornest's vibrato, neo-classicisms, and doubled solos are reminiscent of Randy Rhoads' work, and his full compliment of shred chops--including swift legato and wide interval phrases--will be featured on an upcoming album of originals produced by Davis.
