Do you visit the dungeon? If so, do you get scared?

We go into the dungeon all the time to show third parties such as film crews and music bands around. If we are having a bad day, there is always the option of dressing up as a 17th-century monk and scaring the wits out of visitors. We definitely still get scared. There are more than 20 actors working down there at any one time and we never know where they are hiding.

Does the marketing team get to visit the other dungeons in Europe?

Yes, we believe results happen through sharing creative ideas and experiences, so we travel regularly to those in Hamburg, Amsterdam, York and Edinburgh.

What is the main marketing challenge you face?

To convince 10- to 15-year-olds that we are the scariest place they will ever visit. We feel our job is done if they can go into school after a trip here and tell their friends 'You have got to go there!' We strive to market ourselves to cool, youth-focused brands that want to collaborate on promotions.

Is there a dress code?

Smart casual/fangs.
