The funding for career and technical education (CTE) is in danger of being wiped out of the federal budget. While ACTE continues to lobby and advocate on behalf of CTE, there are thousands of your friends, peers and colleagues who do not support the Association with their membership or their contributions to the CTE Support Fund.

Now is the time to tap those individuals on the shoulder, hand them a membership application, and encourage them to add their voice and support to the only Association that advocates on behalf of the entire CTE industry. Only with the financial and vocal support of all career and technical educators can ACTE successfully ensure that the opinions of the CTE community are heard on Capitol Hill.

If every member encouraged one colleague to join, our collective voice and impact would double. And as we all know, there is strength in numbers. To think of it another way, consider that most career and technical educators benefit in some way from Perkins funding. …
