Burley joined Northwestern University's Transportation Library in Evanston, Illinois, as technical services librarian. * Sam Byrd became digital repository librarian at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond February 10. * Dorothy Chandler has joined Pasco County (Fla.) Library System as branch services coordinator for the east side of Pasco County. * January 6 Associate Librarian/Historical Room Specialist Penny Colby retired after 26 years with Guilford (Conn.) Free Library. * Mark Contois joined Framingham (Mass.) Public Library as manager of young adult services January 17. * Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has appointed James Galbraith head of collection management at Reynolds Library. * In fall 2005, Lisa German became assistant dean for technical and collections services at Pennsylvania State University in University Park. * In January, John D. Haskell Jr., director of manuscripts and rare books, retired from the College of William and Mary's Swem library in Williamsburg, Virginia, after 27 years at the library and 41 years as a librarian. * Linda Hasman is the new senior assistant librarian at the University at Buffalo Health Sciences Library in New York. * Jack Alan Hicks, administrative librarian of Deerfield (Ill.)
