Nobody has bench-pressed more trophies or eaten more airplane food than nine-time Wimbledon singles champion Martina Navratilova. In July 2003, at age 46, she became the oldest winner, male or female, of a Grand Slam title.

Why do you stay in such awesome shape? What's the alternative?

Name one guilty pleasure.

I've discovered dark chocolate. I don't feel guilty because I eat like one, two little squares at a time. My grandmother worked in a chocolate factory. We had an unlimited amount, but my mom and I would share a bar between the two of us for two or three nights.

What's your number 1 travel tip?

Hydrating. A lot of water. That's it.

Aerobics.

Stupidest fitness trend?

Those ankle weights. [People] are still, like, walking with those weights, and they completely screw these people up! If they don't have a sore back, they'll be very lucky. …
