AnyWare Associates has introduced FAXiNET, a service that allows Internet electronic mail users worldwide to send Faxes directly from their terminal or workstation. FAXiNET subscribers, can send electronic mail to anyone with a Fax machine, regardless of whether they have e-mail capability. The FAXiNET gateway converts e-mail messages to facsimile transmissions, extending the reach of e-mail and giving users all the advantages and cost savings of computer Fax.

According to Anyware Associates President Sanford Bendremer, FAXiNET users can immediately take advantage of advanced Fax features and realize dramatic savings in labor and telephone charges. "Since users can Fax directly from their system, there's no lost time printing and retrieving the document to be Faxed, walking to the Fax machine, completing a cover sheet, and waiting for the Fax to go through. Since there is little or no cost associated with sending electronic mail, overseas users will see substantial savings over traditional international Fax calls. In addition, FAXiNET offers the same capabilities as an in-house Fax server, without the expense of purchasing, installing, and managing complex hardware and software."
