Mira Mesa Wins ASIS School Security Funding Competition

ASIS International has announced that Mira Mesa High School of San Diego, California, is the winner of its 2006 School Security Funding Competition. ASIS will award the school $20,000 to implement security improvements. The competition was launched in conjunction with the ASIS International 52nd Annual Seminar and Exhibits, to be held in San Diego, September 25-28.

"We are pleased for the third year to be able to give something back to the city and community that hosts our Annual Seminar and Exhibits. The Society believes that focusing on the area's schools has the most positive and immediate impact," said Michael Stack, executive director of ASIS. "Mira Mesa High School's commitment to achieving and maintaining high academic performance by creating a secure environment for its students and faculty truly embodies the spirit of our competition. We congratulate the school and look forward to seeing the security enhancements it has implemented when we visit San Diego in September. …
