Corinne Huskey, CPP, believes there is a direct connection between the security industry and the corporate and business worlds. She has spent the last 35 years working to improve that relationship.


"As a corporate manager, and being very detail-oriented, I was attracted to the problematic issues involved in dealing with a company's assets," says Huskey, describing what initially drew her to the industry.

Throughout her career, Huskey has designed loss prevention programs, conducted audits, and implemented and enforced physical security and safety policies to secure all manner of corporate assets. In her present position as general manager of Pacific Video & Security in La Mesa, California, she oversees the day-to-day operation of the company's service, inventories, personnel, facilities, record keeping, and administrative activities.

Huskey, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) who also holds a master's degree in security management, earned her Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS in 1997 and speaks highly of the value of the credential in her career.

"The CPP has empowered me with comprehensive knowledge to better articulate and communicate within the company I work for, as well as with a wide range of customers," she says, adding that the certification has served her employer well too, in ways ranging from additional recognition in the industry to increased volume of business referrals. …
