You are continually increasing the variety of your online content. What is the main marketing challenge that you face?

Keeping abreast of the market, consumer trends and the wealth of content delivered to us daily by our colleagues in programming. One week we will be promoting AOL Sessions, with artists such as Sugababes or Lily Allen, and the next we will be working on AOL Pictures.

How do you come up with content ideas, such as Eleven, Women and Video Beta?

They come from many sources, including our in-house innovation experts. Eleven was devised by an AOL employee to cater for women looking for celebrity news and gossip, amusing videos, puzzles, mind games, and generally a welcome distraction from mid-morning boredom. Video Beta was devised in the US to embrace the popular phenomenon of user-generated content, so we can amuse ourselves looking at funny videos and daft things happening to others.

What perks do AOL marketers get?

Apart from the sheer enjoyment of each other's company, we all get free AOL Broadband.
