After 30 years in the corporate workplace, Iris Hanney was up for a new challenge. "There is a very definite division between the large conglomerates [and] ... small to mid-size business[es], which really capture[s] all of our entrepreneurial spirit and gives birth to some of the most innovative ideas that are born of the Information Age," she said. "The disparity, of course, is in the budgets available."

Hanney's new company, Unlimited Priorities (UP), aims to help companies with smaller budgets grow and compete against larger corporations with deeper pockets by lending the executive experience of Hanney and her team to companies that couldn't otherwise afford such services.

Unlimited Priorities is not designed to provide long-term leadership but to help smaller companies mature. "Our goal is very much to assist the company that we're working with to the point that their own maturity will, based on our successful assistance, enable them to fire us," said Hanney.

Though she considers herself an expert in sales, Hanney has been involved in areas of management ranging from marketing to IT, and she has assembled what she calls "a network of amazingly talented people" from various managerial disciplines to equip Unlimited Priorities with the resources to handle many diverse issues. …
