MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Radian Group Inc. of Philadelphia has hired Teresa Bryce as its general counsel and secretary.

Ms. Bryce, who also has been named an executive vice president, succeeded Howard Yaruss, who has left the mortgage insurer.

Ms. Bryce had the same jobs as a senior vice president at Nexstar Financial Corp., a mortgage outsourcer that Bank of America Corp. inherited when it bought MBNA Corp. in January.

Before that she had been the general counsel for B of A's mortgage operations.

Still earlier she had held senior legal jobs at PNC Mortgage Corp. and Prudential Home Mortgage Co.

Morgan Stanley of New York said Stu Hendel would rejoin the company early next year as the head of its global prime brokerage business.

Mr. Hendel had worked for Morgan Stanley for 15 years, most recently as a co-head of its U.S. prime brokerage business, but left in 2004 to become the chief operating officer of the start-up hedge fund Eton Park Capital Management LP.

SunTrust Banks Inc. of Atlanta has hired Ken Yarbrough as its director of retirement strategies, a newly created job.

Mr. Yarbrough, who has also been named a senior vice president, was a partner and the director of account management at WestWayne Inc., an Atlanta advertising agency whose 40-year relationship with SunTrust ended last year.

IndyMac Bank of Pasadena, Calif., has named Linda Hitchcock the senior vice president of its centralized mortgage operations group. …
