Article excerpt

If you haven't been having fun with technology before this month, you should have some fun with these sites:

www.nativetech.org/games/index.php. This is a great website to enhance your Native American Studies. Here you'll find games, arts, and crafts of Eastern Woodland Indians. You or your students can play online interactive games such as "Splint Basket Concentration," or "Guess the Word," and a plant name guessing game. Resources on the game page give historical information about Native American traditions using technology and art.

www.brainpop.com/is always a fun website for kids. Choose the Technology link to find out about all kinds of technology. Most of the links you choose will explain the technology and even have a short movie as well. This site has some free information--and more for a subscription fee. If you want to watch a movie, choose one of the links labeled "FREE." Then click on "Watch the Movie." You can register for a 14-day free trial to see the other movies and activities. After that you can pay for a subscription. Details can be found on the registration page.

www.show.me.uk/topicpage/Scienceand-Technology.html has 22 links to games and activities from the UK. Really fun!
