ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY ENROLLMENT

After increasing by about one-fifth between 1990 and 2003, elementary and secondary enrollment is expected to increase at slower rates between 2003 and 2015.

EXPENDITURES OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL

Current expenditures in constant 2003-2004 dollars increased 41% from 1990-1991 to 2002-2003.

From 2002-2003 to 2015-2016, current expenditures in constant 2003-2004 dollars are projected to increase:

* between 38% to $546 billion and 51% to $599 billion

Between 2002-2003 and 2015-2016, the number of high school graduates is projected to increase nationally by 6%.
