DR RODERICK DEANE is chairman of Fletcher Building and the New Zealand Seed Fund. He is a director of the Australian company Woolworths. He is also patron and on the board of governance of IHC Inc, and a member of the board of trustees of MOTU (Economic and Public Policy Research). Until June this year, when he retired from each of these positions, Dr Deane was chairman of Telecom Corporation of NZ, ANZ National Bank, Te Papa Tongarewa, and the City Gallery Wellington Foundation. He was also a director of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group.

SANDY MAIER worked in international, commercial and investment banking with Citicorp/Citibank for 15 years in various management positions in the Caribbean, South America and Australasia. He has lived and worked in New Zealand since 1986, serving on the board of the Bank of New Zealand and as the statutory manager of DFC New Zealand, for which he received a 1990 Commemoration Medal for services to New Zealand. He has his own international management consulting firm specialising in strategic financial and human resource issues. He has served as chief executive and board member of a number of companies.

ALISON PATERSON is chair of the Electricity & Gas Complaints Commission, Centre for Research Excellence Growth and Development (University of Auckland) and BPAC NZ. She is deputy chair of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and a director of Metrowater, Abano and Maori CORE.


DOUG MATHESON has over 20 years' experience in a wide range of governance positions, both as a director and as chairman, in New Zealand and overseas. He is currently chairman of Wairarapa District Health Board, Biomedical Services, GoWairarapa and the NZIM Inc Foundation. …
