Every new year, Americans look ahead and create New Year's resolutions. According to statistics from the Journal of Clinical Psychology, 40 to 45 percent of American adults make one or more resolutions a year. But how many of us keep them? Research also shows that by the end of January, 50 percent of us have abandoned our resolution.

Experts and life coaches say the best way to keep a resolution is to actually write it down, to hold yourself accountable in completing it. So for the magazine, what better way to keep our New Year's resolutions than sharing them with readers?

Here are the top three that magazine staff can guarantee we'll keep into 2007:
