For those who need a wealth of information in the palm of their hands, Experian Group, Ltd. has introduced instant access to business-critical information via BizGo. The BizGo application, which can be delivered to Web-enabled cell phones, PDAs, or other handhelds, offers mobile users access to information from any place, at any time from Experian's commercial credit database of more than 19 million businesses.

"BizGo is designed for the small-business owners, so they can get a quick snapshot of a company," said Craig Whitney, senior director of Experian's Access Solutions and Market Intelligence. "A user who's out in the field can get immediate information on a business, including a company's current information, and check its overall credit standing. For example, an electrical contractor can get a crew on-site tomorrow since he can get immediate information ... whether the company needs money upfront and if the company pays on time."

Since mobile devices have a small landscape to work with, a mini report offers basic data (address, phone number, years in business, annual sales, and number of employees), along with a color-coded (from green to red) letter-grade credit rating (from A to F). …
