Capsilon Releases New Loan Katalyst Version

Capsilon FSG Inc., San Diego, has released its latest version of Loan Katalyst, which is designed to bring new intelligence to document management by automating many functions now performed by manual methods, thus significantly cutting lenders' fixed expenses for such operations.

By automating formerly manual document management tasks, these functions become variable costs, which are inherently more scalable and controllable. Previously, many lenders attacked the high cost of handling documents by tranforming them into images, but most then find an entirely new set of challenges managing those images and using them as effectively as they have used paper, noted Jim Hennessy, Capsilon's managing director.

Loan Katalyst uses proprietary engines to recognize documents from images without preprocessing or bar-coding. Workflow features keep the loan process familiar but more efficient, and an Internet portal allows stakeholders in the value chain to share and evaluate permitted information, all with Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act-compliant security levels, explained Hennessy.
