MIDWEST

Bank of the West, a San Francisco unit of BNP Paribas SA, has promoted Robert Dalrymple to executive vice president and division manager of its Great Plains division in retail and commercial banking.

He will report to Frank Bonetto, the bank's regional banking group vice chairman, and will be based in Omaha.

Mr. Dalrymple will manage the sales and customer service functions of the 120-branch division.

He had been a senior vice president and regional manager in the Southern California division, where he managed the same functions for 19 branches, mainly in Los Angeles County. Before that he had been senior commercial credit officer for the regional banking group, where he managed the bank's small-business loan division. He joined the bank in March 2002, when it acquired United California Bank.

LaSalle Bank Corp., a Chicago unit of ABN Amro Holding NV, has promoted Michael Graf to senior vice president of its commercial banking division, where he will continue to be the division head of LaSalle Commercial Banking in Oak Lawn, Ill.

Mr. Graf has been the division head since 2004. Before the promotion he had held the title of first vice president.

Before joining LaSalle he was a Chicago vice president at First Bank of St. Louis. Before that he had been an assistant vice president at Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services Inc. Earlier he had been a credit analyst at Ameritrust Mortgage Co.
