Online Hourly Charges Drop 70 Percent for Company and Industry Research
Hourly connect time charges have dropped by 70 percent or more for searching selected databases on the I/PLUS Direct online service. Connect time charges are reduced for searching Investext, The Investext Group's flagship database of investment research reports, and MarkIntel, a market research database.
The charge to search the Investext, Pipeline, and MarkIntel databases in combination on I/PLUS Direct is reduced from $99 per hour to $30 per hour. Customers can access all three databases with one keystroke.
Hourly connect time charges have been eliminated entirely for separately searching the MarkIntel database. In addition, a new report ordering feature enables customers who have previously identified reports of interest (through an earlier search or report directory) to order them free of connect time charge by using each report's unique number.
"We've made these changes in response to customer requests," noted David Irving, vice president of The Investext Group. "We've greatly reduced connect time charges, and, in some cases, entirely eliminated them to allow our customers to identify information without watching the clock."
To balance the drop in connect time charges and keep pace with rising costs, pricing for reports from Investext and Pipeline have changed. Investext reports printed or downloaded online are billed at $6.99 per page and offline prints and faxes cost $7.30 per page.
Pricing has been restructured for Pipeline, an alert service to investment research. Customers who order the full report of a Pipeline citation receive a copy of the original analyst report, including all charts and graphs. …
