- How do you come up with new marketing ideas? It usually involves copious amounts of wine.

- Is there a dress code at work? Think dress-down Friday, only every day and more dressed-down.

- This year, The Eden Project has hosted performances by James Morrison, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and the Pet Shop Boys, as well as shows by top theatre companies. Does the marketing team get to go? Yes, absolutely We get a special staff rate for all gigs and sometimes we are working anyway. The marketing director is the MC at all the events, so gets to hang out with all the stars.

- Does the marketing team socialise outside of office hours? Yes, all the time, and often with colleagues working on other aspects of the project. We used to make all the strategic decisions in the pub, but it is trickier now there are 500 of us.

- What's it like for training and career progression? Tricky, as nobody wants to give their job to anyone else, and people don't like to leave. Most of the team are one-man bands in charge of their own area, so progression isn't easy. The average length of tenure is six years, so everyone seems happy working here. …
