The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) plans to enhance the journal coverage of Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences. Effective next month, total coverage in this edition will be approximately, 1400 international scholarly research journals. Additionally, ISI will be offering a microcomputer diskette format that includes English-language abstracts.

The journal expansion in Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is concentrated in areas that are particularly relevant to the social and behavioral sciences. The enhanced coverage will focus on the key disciplines of psychology, sociology, public health, and social work. Additional journal coverage will be targeted for the areas of communication, geriatrics, management, education, psychiatry, nursing, and rehabilitation.

The abstracts edition on microcomputer diskette will be available with the first edition in 1995 and will include the enhanced coverage. Current subscribers are being notified of this option.

"Enhancements to our coverage in the key areas of the social and behavioral sciences is a result of readership studies combined with editorial research conducted by ISI's Editorial Development Department," said Keith MacGregor, vice president of New Product & Editorial Development.
