Now What Software has a new CD-ROM title in the award-winning Small Blue Planet series for viewing Earth's changes over time. TimeScape Atlas: Odyssey of Our Changing Planet is a CD-ROM that uses interactive multimedia to observe global change in the world around us.

TimeScape Atlas displays natural fluctuations and human-made changes on a global scale over two decades by using satellite images from NASA, Landsat, NOAA, and recently declassified images from the CIA. In creating TimeScape Atlas, Now What Software collected information from hundreds of scientists doing millions of dollars in research and made it accessible to users with the easy-to-use Maps that Move interface.

"For the first time, everyone has access to these images on their home computers or at school," said Bill Pickering, president of Now What Software. "Now everyone can see the dramatic changes that have occurred on Earth during the past several decades."

Fully-annotated images of the same area taken decades apart demonstrate the many visual changes happening to our planet, such as deforestation and forest recovery, urbanization, the ozone hole, and ground water usage. …
