Bulletin Board Systems For Business, (John Wiley & Sons, $34.95) is great for those who want to know the basics of running a BBS for profit. Although published in 1992, the book is still useful today.

Alan D. Bryant's Creating Successful Bulletin Board Systems (Addison Wesley, $39.95) comes highly recommended by the Association of Online Professionals (AOP). The book shows how to get a BBS running from start to finish, and also includes a full version of TBBS software. It explains the capabilities and liabilities of a BBS and offers advice on estimating financial statements.
