Npower Backs Renewable Energy Tariff

Energy giant Npower will this week unveil its first marketing campaign to support its renewable energy product, Npower Juice, following an increase in capacity that has made the service available to a wider customer base.

The TV activity launches tomorrow (Thursday) and will run for a month. Created by Beattie McGuinness Bungay, it is likely to be the first in a series of similarly themed executions.

The TV ad shows a woman splashing green paint over electrical goods and heaters in her house. The voiceover informs viewers that under Npower's Juice tariff, electricity will cost no more than its standard options; it ends with the line 'It seems that everyone expects you to turn your world green. But what are they doing to help?'

The end frame features the paint tin, which is labelled 'Green Inspiration', and signposts viewers to a dedicated microsite at npower.com/green. Features on the interactive site are likely to include online polls enabling customers to vote on which environmentally friendly technologies the company should invest in. …
