America's Tween Idol Rules

Article excerpt

Her parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed she would accomplish great things. At age 15, Miley Cyrus has an Emmy Award-nominated cable TV show and pulls down around $3,500,000 in salary annually--that figure undoubtedly bolstered by her sold-out 52-city concert tour and subsequent 3D movie of the same name: "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" The live 2007 tour literally sold out in minutes, with many desperate parents placating their frustrated offspring by forking over upwards of $3,500 a ducat to ticket brokers.
