Counterpoint Publishing has announced the release of a new form-based tool called CSE for searching its U.S. Federal Register on the World Wide Web. It permits users to execute precise searches by filling out a form tailored to fit the database they are using. A working model of the new search engine is available to the public at http://hotspur.counterpoint.com:2001.

First launched in 1993, the Daily Federal Register and Archives from Counterpoint is already in use by tens of thousands of people at major corporations, government agencies, and universities worldwide. "CSE is the natural next step in our Internet publishing business," said Sanford Friedman, president of Counterpoint. "Now that most people access the Internet through the World Wide Web, our CSE enhances searching of our regulatory and legal databases using any Web browser.
