UMI, CISTI to Provide Document Delivery Services

UMI has announced that its InfoStore business unit has entered into a partnership with the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) to supply copies of articles throughout North America that are not available from CISTI's collection.

The articles are indexed in SwetScan, a database developed in the Netherlands by Swets and Zeitlinger, a subscription house that provides tables of content for over 13,000 journals worldwide. CISTI, the exclusive agent for SwetScan in North America, can supply complete articles for about half the journals, specifically those related to science, technology, engineering, and medicine. UMI's InfoStore will deliver articles that CISTI does not hold in its collection. All documents are copyright-cleared.

UMI's InfoStore provides document delivery services worldwide and offers customers an opportunity to order reprints of articles from thousands of publications, newspapers, technical reports, dissertations, patents, and other documents.
