Personal Bibliographic Software (PBS) has announced the Internet Enabler bundle, which combines NetCite, an enhancement to PBS' well-known ProCite bibliographic management software, with BookWhere? Pro, an Internet search and retrieval product for Z39.50 library collections.

NetCite allows the ProCite for Windows user to catalog and index Internet information. NetCite allows users to add World Wide Web references to the wide array of information records ProCite currently manages.

Working in conjunction with Netscape Communications, Inc.'s Netscape Navigator, NetCite is a tool for storing Web page references in a personal database. As a ProCite feature, NetCite allows users, from information professionals to hobbyists, to store and manage all types of reference information--whether it comes from an online library catalog or a home page in cyberspace.

BookWhere? Pro 2.0 searches libraries across the Internet for research materials and books. Once records have been selected, BookWhere? downloads the records and automatically saves the data, including MARC records, to a ProCite database. BookWhere? has preconfigured access to several hundred library collections including the Library of Congress, Acadia University, Pennsylvania State Library, Stanford University Library, and the University of California--Melvyl System Library. …
