Niles & Associates has released the latest upgrade to its EndNote Plus for Windows program. The primary enhancement is an Add-in that integrates EndNote Plus into Microsoft Word 7 for Windows 95, Microsoft Word 6 for Windows 3.1, and Microsoft Word 6 for Windows NT.

EndNote Plus is a bibliographic database program used by more than 100,000 researchers, information professionals, and students. The program stores, manages, and searches for bibliographic references in a user's database. The program is also a bibliography maker--users insert citations from their database into a word processor document and EndNote Plus will scan the document and create a bibliography according to the chosen bibliographic style.

The EndNote Add-in for Microsoft Word takes EndNote's ability a step further. The Add-in enables users to complete all of their bibliographic tasks, such as inserting citations and creating bibliographies, using commands in Microsoft Word's Tools menu.

Before the Add-in technology was developed, EndNote Plus created bibliographies in a batch process: EndNote would first scan the word processor file to find in-text citations. …
